Coming up this Friday & Saturday (October 18-19^th) is the 40^th Annual Oktoberfest!  Join the fun with one of Vancouver Island’s best Oktoberfest celebrations!  For just $15 you’ll get two full nights of entertainment, dancing, and of course –great food and drink. 

The entertainment line-up features music from Vancouver’s The Silverstar.  This group is sure to keep things lively with a mix of both traditional German folk songs and modern favourites.   You’ll also love the singing, guitar and keyboard tunes of Klaus From Hamburg.  And returning again this year are the popular Austrian Edelweiss Dancers. 

The Europa Club is a group of dedicated folks who have been facilitating cultural events in Port Alberni since 1974 to help keep the traditions of Europeans alive and well.  With events ranging from, Christmas dinners, a Dutch ‘Tulip Fest’, a German carnival, and even a shooting contest at the rifle range.  The club’s Oktoberfest is the largest on all of Vancouver Island, and is possible by all members lending a hand to put on this great event.

The Oktoberfest venue, the Port Alberni Italian Hall, is located just 5 minutes from our Port Alberni Hotel.  Whether you’re in town for Oktoberfest, or happen to be here this weekend, you’ll be sure to have a great place to rest up after the festivities! 

Can’t make it Port Alberni for Oktoberfest?  Don’t worry - There’s still plenty of fun in the Alberni valley this month!  Don’t miss a concert by The Wheat in the Barley, a haunted Halloween train, and a special Halloween swim at the Aquatic and Fitness Centre (free if you’re in costume!)
